Q: I’m having problems using InstallShield. Apparently it needs the DCOM
process to be started so I tried to start it and I get this error:

Could not start the DCOM Server Process Launcher service on Local Computer.
Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a
timely fashion.

DCOM has no dependencies so it can’t be some other service I need to start
first, so how can I start it

Pertanyaan diatas menanyakan apa yg mesti dikerjakan karena service DCOM Process Launcher gagal dijalankan.

ANSWER:

Untuk me-repair semua file system, masuk ke Start/Run, ketik (atau paste command berikut):

SFC /SCANNOW

Jangan lupa masukan CD Installer Windows XP ke CD/DVD ROM drive. command akan secara otomatis melakukan scan dan meng-copy file2 system yang corrupt dari CD Windows

This command sets the SfcQuota DWORD value to x in the following registry key:
  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon

Bapa Paus, kalau di Indonesia sini sudah nggak ada yang perduli dengan dosa-dosa berat seperti yang baru saja ditambahkan diatas

di malam pergantian tahun kemarin saya berada di tempat bersama orang-orang yang baru saya kenal sepanjang umur saya yang lebih dari 3 dasawarsa. tidak semuanya baru saya kenal, karena alasan saya berada disana juga karena seorang yang spesial, yang berasal dari masa silam saya, dimana kami pernah selalu berada di tempat yang membuat kami cukup dekat setiap harinya namun dengan relasi yang jika dilihat dari kacamata sekarang bisa dibilang menggelikan (atau mungkin ‘aneh’?) hehe..

lalu bagaimana dengan acara di malam itu? juga satu hal baru yang pertama kali saya alami seumur hidup saya, yaitu berdoa secara khusus di tengah peralihan malam yang menjadi penanda beda label waktu dari tahun sebelumnya ke tahun yang sekarang.

hanya berdoa? tentu tidak, karena sadar tidak punya cukup waktu (saat itu), kami berusaha keras menciptakan saat yang menyenangkan untuk kami lalui (untuk yang satu ini mungkin ceritanya bisa di-posting lain kali, masih banyak waktu dan tempat untuk menulisnya. lagi pula ini posting kedua di blog ini )

acara yang baru, orang-orang yang baru, kebiasaan baru, saya hanya berharap semuanya bisa ‘menyeret’ saya untuk berubah menjadi individu yang lebih baik
